Tigers Eye
Tigers eye is a member of the quartz family, usually yellow to brown in color. Gemstones are usually cut cabochon style to best display the stones reflective properties. Although tigers eye has been found around the world it is mined primarily in Australia and South Africa. Tigers eye was thought to be good for health and spiritual well being. This stone is somewhat fragile so care needs to be taken and it should not be cleaned with alcohol or other abrasives that could scratch your stone.
